Looking accross the Hippodrome (Atmeydan? / Horse Grounds) towards Saltan Ahmet Camii (Blue Mosque) (1609-19 AD).  The Hippodrome was used for chariot races circa 203AD.  The Obelisk of Theodosius on the left is a Pharaonic column from the Temple of Karnak in southern Egypt close to 3500 years old.
